This week, I am sharing with you a recent Family portrait session in Tamescal Canyon, just in time for the Los Angeles Fall!
Mama K had originally asked me to be her doula back at the beginning of the year, but I was pregnant and pretty much due to meet my baby at the same time as her; so I referred her out and hoping to hear back from her about her good news with her labor and baby.
Thankfully, she did -I always wonder and love to know about mamas I meet on the way. Whether I end up being part of their birth team or not, I like to think there is a connection among all of us; so if one of us achieves her dreams, we all do.
Whenever a family asks me to capture them together in the woods, this is my go to place. There is shade, there is sunlight, there is grass, dirt, rocks and there are a million of different angles and trees I can use to prop up my clients with their beautiful children.
I also find the children themselves to be happier in nature; during their family photography session, the little ones get to discover leaves and grass perhaps for the first time!
I strive to capture the essence of these moments of discovery, which become also an opportunity for mom and dad to relax and enjoy the pausing of a couple of hours in nature, with the knowledge that they are making some memories and those memories have been captured forever professionally.
And if succeed with time, we may even make it to the sunset at the beach!
Would you like to book a family portrait session in time for the holidays?
